Mission Statement

Chabad Tucson believes in the power and potential of the individual to make the world a better, kinder place for all. We help people live meaningful lives regardless of race, gender, or religion.

We are motivated by the profound love, boundless optimism and self-sacrifice of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory (1902–1994).

Chabad Tucson is the Southern Arizona headquarters of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, considered to be the most dynamic force in Jewish life today.

SOCIAL/HUMANITARIAN 
Kosher Meals on Wheels - daily meals delivered to the poor, home-bound, and elderly. In addition to
seasonal items for holidays.
Chaplaincy - visiting hospitals, independent and assisted living communities, and hospices.
Chaplaincy 2 - visiting inmates and providing them with religious articles and teachings to help their rehabilitation and prevent recidivism.

RELIGIOUS
Cong. Young Israel-Chabad Tucson - Arizona's oldest Orthodox synagogue, founded in 1948. Open door policy to welcome everyone without membership or High Holiday tickets required. 

Adult education - daily classes in Torah, Mishnah, Talmud, and Chassidus for people of all ages. Weekly classes explore Jewish philosophy and ethics, open to Jews and non-Jews.

SENIORS 
Kosher Meals on Wheels - above
Sunshine Club - providing engaging programming for the elderly, including Taste of Shabbat, chat with
the rabbi, holiday celebrations and gift bags.

COMMUNITY
Keeping Jewish newspaper - a monthly print publication sent for free to the elderly and the wider community to
be inspired and engaged.
Special events – guest speakers, Shabbos, community center, movies

CHILDREN / TEENS
Lamplighter Day School & Preschool - Jewish and secular studies, art, low-income families, Jewish
continuity.
Hebrew School - an after-school program teaching boys and girls Hebrew and preparing them for Bar and
Bat Mitzvah.

New: Cteen Tucson, a club connecting Jewish teens and strengthening their identity and involvement.
