Chevra Kadisha of Tucson
"There is a time for all under the heavens - a time to love, a time to journey, a time to plant, a time to reap, a time to rejoice and a time to mourn" —King Solomon
The Rabbis and staff of Chabad Tucson are always available—especially in times of need—to offer comfort, guidance, and bereavement support. They assist with funeral preparations, officiate at funerals, and lead Shiva services.
The Chevra Kaddisha - Jewish Burial Society of Chabad Tucson - Young Israel helps bereaved Jewish families arrange complete and dignified funerals that fully conform to Jewish law.
For centuries, Jewish communities have honored the deceased by preparing the body for burial and performing tahara, the ritual purification. This sacred act is considered one of the greatest mitzvot in the Torah.
