A new course exploring Judaism's relevance in modern life by the acclaimed Jewish Learning Institute will be taught in Tucson.

Chabad Tucson Women's Circle will launch the "Torah Studies - A Weekly Journey into the Soul of the Torah" series in October 2012.

Classes will be held at the Congregation Young Israel, 2443 E 4th Street, beginning October 14, 8:00 – 9:00 pm, and continue for eleven consecutive Sunday evenings.

Like all classes by Chabad of Tucson, this latest adult education offering for women is designed for all levels of Jewish knowledge.

"I am looking forward to the great discussions that these texts no doubt will generate," said Goldie Shemtov who will be presenting the course.

"Some of the topics to be addressed are the Jewish perspective on realizing your true potential, human struggle, and the power of a single action," she said.

Over 150,000 people in more than 300 cities worldwide have attended classes and programs offered by The Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) since its founding in 1998.

"We are especially proud to bring this exciting course to Tucson.  You will walk away surprised, inspired and knowing more about who we are as Jews," said Mrs. Feigie Ceitlin, a coordinator of the Women's Circle.

Season One of Torah Studies in Tucson is dedicated in loving memory of Mrs. Jean Rosenfield (Genenda bas Avigdor & Chaya Leah), of blessed memory.

The fee for the entire course is $55, which includes the course textbook. The fee for a single $8.
